Kara Bosworth said Jeana Keough had finished her last radiation treatment, though the next phase of recovery was expected to be especially difficult physically. The update came through a fundraising post explaining that her cancer battle and treatment side effects were still ongoing.

Her treatment was temporarily paused after doctors found a deep vein thrombosis clot in her leg and an infection while she was preparing for a feeding tube. Kara Keough said the pause was necessary so doctors could stabilize the infection before continuing chemo and radiation.

Jeana Keough was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue after a painful spot on her tongue led to a biopsy. Her children, Kara and Shane, shared that she was beginning treatment and that the illness had already caused severe pain, malnutrition, and a blood clot.
