Latest News about James Duckworth
Duckworth, now 34, beat Serbia's Miomir Kecmanovic 6-4, 6-3 at the ATP 250 indoor event in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The win set up a second-round meeting with second seed Luciano Darderi, and it ended a run of singles matches without a win that followed his semifinal at Winston-Salem in August.
Duckworth reached the second round of the French Open for the first time since 2021, only the second time in his career on clay at that major. His first-round win came after opponent Gabriel Diallo retired because of an injury.
Duckworth won the 2026 Mexico City Challenger singles title, beating Stefano Napolitano 6–7(7–9), 7–6(7–3), 6–2 in the final. It was the tournament's fifth edition, held on clay from 6 to 12 April 2026.
