2. Born in Lahore, Sunita later relocated to Lucknow.
3. Her father came from a Rajput family, while her mother was from the Hindu Balochi minority in Quetta.
4. In 1971, Sunita founded the interior design company 'Sunita Kohli Interior Designs' in New Delhi.
5. The following year, in 1972, she started 'Sunita Kohli and Company,' a furniture manufacturing company with a contemporary-classic style.
6. She is the President of K2India, co-founded with her daughter Kohelika Kohli in 2010.

21. She was the first woman appointed as chairperson of the board of the School of Planning and Architecture, Bhopal.
