Inaamulhaq is an Indian actor and screenwriter known for his versatility in portraying challenging characters in Bollywood films. Born in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, he began his stage career at age twelve with the Indian People's Theatre Association (IPTA) in Saharanpur before formally training at the National School of Drama in New Delhi, graduating in 2003 with a specialization in acting. He transitioned to Mumbai in 2006 to pursue acting after working as a writer for television shows including Karamchand-2 and Comedy Circus. His breakthrough came with the critically acclaimed film Firaaq in 2008, followed by his major role as Pakistani national Aaftab in Nitin Kakkar's National Award-winning film Filmistaan (2012), which earned him widespread recognition. He is featured in IMDb's list of Top 200 Best Indian Actors and Actresses.
