SummaryBritish professional tennis player who became the top-ranked British woman in the WTA rankings in July 2012. She won her first WTA singles title at the Japan Open that year, becoming the first British woman to win a WTA singles title since Sara Gomer in 1988. A Billie Jean King Cup stalwart, Watson has represented Team GB at the 2012 and 2016 Olympic Games, and competed at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
