Former Punjab cricketer Amanpreet Singh Gill, a right-arm medium-fast bowler who represented India Under-19, Punjab in six first-class matches, and Kings XI Punjab in the inaugural IPL season, passed away early morning in Chandigarh at the age of 36. He had also served as a member of Punjab's Senior Selection Committee for several seasons including 2019-20, 2020-21, 2022-23, and 2024-25. Punjab Kings and Punjab Cricket Association paid tributes, with his cremation held later that day at Manimajra Cremation Ground; the cause of death was not disclosed.
