Career

Joined the Indian Army at age 18 as a Jawan (Sepoy) in the 3rd Battalion of Assam Regiment.
Served for nearly nine years as a Jawan before attending Army Cadet College (ACC) in Dehradun.
Commissioned as a Lieutenant in December 2008.
Serves with 53 Rashtriya Rifles, a specialized anti-militancy force in Jammu and Kashmir.
In 2018, shifted out of his unit and attached to Victor Force headquarters at Awantipora after an Army Court of Inquiry indicted him for fraternising with a local woman and being away from duty in an operational area, leading to Summary of Evidence proceedings.
