Latest News about Sanju Samson
Samson scored a brilliant 41-ball 82 in the second T20I against West Indies, drawing praise from pundits. He later reflected on India's 24-run defeat in the fourth T20I at Hyderabad, which left the five-match series tied 2-2 ahead of the decider in Bengaluru on 17 October.
Reports in July 2026 highlighted Sanju Samson’s strong IPL 2026 form for Chennai Super Kings after his move from Rajasthan Royals. He scored 477 runs in 14 matches at a strike rate of 165.62, underlining his value as a middle-order impact batter.
Samson was left out of India's T20I squad for the Zimbabwe tour. Selectors reportedly did not want to carry both of India's senior wicketkeepers on the tour.
Sanju Samson was named Player of the Tournament after India’s ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 triumph. He scored 321 runs in five innings, including a match-shaping unbeaten 97 against West Indies that helped India reach the semi-finals before going on to win the title.
