Ram Gopal Yadav is an Indian politician from Uttar Pradesh and a senior leader of the Samajwadi Party. He has been a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha since 1992 and served one term in the Lok Sabha from 2004 to 2008. He studied physics and political sciences and earned his PhD from Agra University. Before entering politics, he worked as a lecturer from 1969 to 1994 and later became headmaster of Chaudhary Charan degree college in Etawah.
