Former West Bengal Education Minister Partha Chatterjee was granted bail by a special CBI court in connection with the school jobs recruitment scam. Officials said the bail order would allow his release once formal court formalities were completed, after he had spent more than three years in custody. He remained under medical treatment at a private hospital in Kolkata at the time of the order.
