Latest News about Enrique Hernandez
Hernández said he hopes to return to the Los Angeles Dodgers for the 2027 season, as he is set to become a free agent. In 2026 he batted .222 with four home runs and 12 RBI in 96 plate appearances, while battling injuries that included offseason elbow surgery and a later left oblique strain.
Hernández hit a two-run home run in the Dodgers' 3-1 win over the Atlanta Braves in Game 2 of the NLDS, giving Los Angeles a 2-1 series lead. The homer tied him for 18th-most career postseason home runs in MLB history, and he is the Dodgers' all-time leader in playoff games.
Hernández and his wife, Mariana Vicente, welcomed their second child, a son named Santiago José. The birth expanded their family after the couple’s first child, daughter Penélope, was born in January 2021.
Hernández re-signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers on a one-year, $4.5 million contract, keeping him in Los Angeles for the 2026 season. He began the year on the injured list while recovering from an offseason procedure and was later activated back to the roster in May 2026.
