Latest News about Arthur Kaliyev
Kaliyev signed a 25-game professional tryout contract with the AHL's Iowa Wild, the top affiliate of the Minnesota Wild. The deal came after he went unsigned as a free agent over the summer following his strong 2025-26 season in Belleville.
Ottawa chose not to present Kaliyev with a qualifying offer, making him an unrestricted free agent. He had signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Senators in July 2025.
Kaliyev was named to the American Hockey League's First All-Star Team for the 2025-26 season. He became the first player in Belleville Senators franchise history to earn First Team All-Star honours, after scoring 40 goals and 68 points in 70 games.
Kaliyev was selected to represent the Belleville Senators at the 2026 AHL All-Star Classic in Rockford. He was the league's leader in goals and several other offensive categories at that point of the season.
