Andrew Robertson

Andy Robertson reached 100 appearances for Scotland when he captained the side in a Nations League match against North Macedonia, which Scotland won 2-0. He became only the second Scotland men's player to reach that milestone, after Sir Kenny Dalglish. Robertson is now two caps behind Dalglish's national record of 102.

Robertson moved from Liverpool to Tottenham Hotspur on a free transfer after leaving Anfield following nine years at the club. The move took effect on 1 July 2026, and he went into the 2026 FIFA World Cup as Scotland's captain.

Robertson said he had not been offered a new contract by Liverpool and confirmed that he would depart in the summer. He described the decision as amicable and said he still believed he could play at a high level.

Andy Robertson and Liverpool confirmed that he will leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the 2025-26 season. The announcement ended his nine-year spell at Anfield, where he became a key defender and won major honours including the Premier League and Champions League.
