Following the Ramanandi sect's traditions, Acharya Satyendra Das was given 'Jal Samadhi' (water burial) in the Saryu River in Ayodhya. His body was tied with heavy stones and immersed in the river after a procession around the city, with his successor Pradeep Das overseeing the final rites.

Acharya Satyendra Das, the chief priest of Ayodhya's Ram Janmabhoomi temple and a key figure in the Ram Mandir movement, passed away at SGPGIMS Lucknow at the age of 87. He had been admitted to the hospital on 3 February 2025 in critical condition after suffering a brain stroke and later died in the neurology ICU following a prolonged illness.
