Latest News about Apu Biswas
Apu Biswas signed the web film Shikar, a thriller directed by Kamruzzaman Roman, marking her return to digital content after Chayabazi in 2023. The film is set against a border-area backdrop, with most shooting planned in Nepal and co-star Polash cast opposite her.
Apu Biswas returned to the screen after a two-year break with the thriller Durbar, directed by Kamrul Hasan Fuad. She said about 40% of her portions had been completed at that time, and she is paired with television actor Sajal for the first time in the film.
A Dhaka court granted Apu Biswas bail in an attempted murder case filed over shootings during the July 2024 quota reform protests in Dhaka's Vatara area. She surrendered before the Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's court after her earlier six-week High Court bail expired. The bail was granted until submission of the police probe report.
