Latest News about Babar Azam
Babar Azam returned to domestic first-class cricket after nearly seven years by joining OGDCL in the President’s Trophy Grade I competition. The move was seen as part of his effort to regain form after recent setbacks in Pakistan’s Test setup. Reports said he was brought in as a guest player for the ongoing tournament.
Babar Azam said he was unaware that Pakistan had released seven players before the Edgbaston Test against England. The comments came during a turbulent series in which Pakistan had already fallen behind, and the squad changes drew attention as part of a broader team reshuffle.
Babar Azam was ruled out of Pakistan’s first Test against England because of a right-hand injury sustained in a warm-up match. Salman Ali Agha took over as captain in his absence, and Pakistan later said Babar had not been cleared in time to lead the side.
