Latest News about T. R. B. Rajaa
Tamil Nadu Industries Minister T. R. B. Rajaa said the state received 270 MoUs in 2025, with companies committing investments worth ₹2.07 lakh crore. He presented the figure as evidence of strong investor interest in the state during the year.
Rajaa said Tamil Nadu is developing a comprehensive Maritime and Shipbuilding Policy in line with the Centre’s framework. The policy is intended to encourage new shipbuilding facilities, attract international companies, and support equity collaborations between government and private enterprises.
Rajaa responded to criticism over claims about a proposed Foxconn investment, saying discussions had taken place for a project of that scale and that the plan was expected to generate around 14,000 high-value jobs. The issue drew attention after reports said Foxconn had denied making a fresh ₹15,000-crore commitment in Tamil Nadu.
