Latest News about Sanal Kumar Sasidharan
Actor Manju Warrier filed a defamation suit at the Ernakulam Munsiff Court against filmmaker Sanal Kumar Sasidharan, YouTuber Shajan Skariah and Meta, seeking removal of social media posts she says are false and humiliating. The court issued an interim injunction and summoned the defendants, with the next hearing scheduled for 05/11/2026. The case followed Sasidharan's repeated public posts about Warrier and his ongoing protest in front of the Kerala Secretariat.
Sasidharan was detained at Mumbai airport in September 2025 after Kerala Police issued a lookout notice in a harassment case filed by Manju Warrier. The case stemmed from his repeated social media posts about the actor, which included claims that she was facing threats from a 'mafia'. He had earlier been arrested in May 2022 in a separate online stalking case involving Warrier.
