Latest News about Riyan Parag
Riyan Parag underwent shoulder surgery and was expected to miss the initial part of the 2026-27 season. Reports at the time said the injury ruled him out of India A duties as well, delaying his return to competitive cricket.
Riyan Parag was replaced by Ruturaj Gaikwad as vice-captain of India A after an injury setback. The change came shortly before a series of team updates and reflected his temporary unavailability for selection.
Riyan Parag was named full-time captain of Rajasthan Royals for the 2026 Indian Premier League after the franchise traded Sanju Samson to Chennai Super Kings. He had stood in as captain in 2025 while Samson was injured, and the team retained him at a salary of INR 14 crore.
