The Bombay High Court ordered the takedown of allegedly defamatory social media posts and AI-generated deepfake content targeting Nitin Gadkari over the E20 ethanol policy controversy. The case followed his civil action seeking removal of the material from major platforms, with the court allowing him to pursue claims against Meta, X, Google, and others.

Nitin Gadkari urged that no new national highway project should be approved unless 100% land acquisition is completed, arguing that unresolved land issues delay execution. He also said poor Detailed Project Reports are a major cause of weak highway outcomes and noted the ministry has a large road asset base available for monetization.

Nitin Gadkari launched the PRISM SG portal in New Delhi to digitize and speed up approvals for Road Over Bridges in highway and railway projects. The initiative is designed to improve transparency, coordination, and efficiency in the clearance and inspection process for such infrastructure works.

Nitin Gadkari welcomed the Union Budget 2026-27 infrastructure push, calling it important for resilience, opportunity, and competitiveness. He highlighted measures including new waterways, high-speed rail corridors, rare earth logistics corridors, and a stronger focus on Tier II and Tier III urban infrastructure.
