| Indian-American actor who gained international recognition for his breakout role as Mowgli in director Jon Favreau's live-action adaptation of The Jungle Book (2016). He was the only live-action performer in the film, acting opposite computer-animated animal characters voiced by major stars including Bill Murray, Scarlett Johansson, Idris Elba, Christopher Walken, Lupita Nyong'o, and Ben Kingsley. Selected from thousands of auditioners across the globe, Sethi had no professional acting experience before landing the role but impressed casting director Sarah Finn and director Jon Favreau with his natural charisma and instincts. |
