| Controversy | Convicted of possessing a fake graduation degree. In November 2017, the Election Commission of Pakistan found her guilty of furnishing a fake Bachelor of Arts degree during her 2002 Senate appointment. On 17 February 2021, the Badin District and Session Court convicted her and sentenced her to two years imprisonment with a fine of Rs 50,000. Her Senate membership was nullified and she was ordered to reimburse monetary perks received during her tenure. |
