Growing up, he frequently moved due to his father's military career.
He was introduced to acting by a schoolmate who had a passion for the arts.
During his teenage years in Bahia, he became friends with actor Lázaro Ramos.
Wagner trained in acting during his teenage years and began professional theatre work in 1996.
