Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy was a 19th-century Indian freedom fighter who led a peasant uprising against the British East India Company in 1846-1847.
He belonged to the Motati Clan of Reddys and led a revolt of about 5,000 peasants in the Nandyal district protesting changes to the traditional agrarian system, including the ryotwari system.
The rebellion was suppressed by Company forces, leading to his arrest, trial, and execution by hanging in Koilkuntla.
