| Overview | Urvil Patel began his cricketing journey during childhood in Mehsana, Gujarat. He honed his skills at the PCCC Academy under the guidance of Prakash Patni. His List-A debut for Baroda against Karnataka on 7 February 2018 showcased his talent as he took 5 catches and scored 10 not out. He made his T20 debut for Baroda in January 2018, followed by his Vijay Hazare debut in February 2018. Transitioning to Gujarat, he became known for his aggressive batting style and high strike rate. In the 2023 IPL auction, he was acquired by Gujarat Titans. On 27 November 2024, during the 2024-25 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, he scored a 28-ball century (113 not out with 7 fours and 12 sixes) against Tripura, establishing himself as the premier domestic T20 opener in India. In November 2025, he captained Gujarat to an eight-wicket victory over Services in a SMAT Group C match, scoring an unbeaten 119 off 37 deliveries.
