| 4. He later left his job to prepare for the Civil Services Examination. |
| 5. He chose history and political science as his optional subjects. |
| 6. He did not clear the exam in his first attempt. |
| 7. In 2017, at the age of 26, Babu cleared the Civil Services Examination and secured All India Rank 15 in his second attempt. |
| 8. He opted for the Indian Foreign Service and joined the 2017 batch. |
| 9. He began his career as an officer trainee at the Ministry of External Affairs the same year. |
| 10. He took up Mandarin as his compulsory foreign language. |
| 11. From 2018 to 2022, Babu served his first overseas posting at the Indian embassy in Beijing. |
| 12. He trained at the Foreign Service Institute in Delhi, learning international relations and foreign policy. |
| 13. During his posting in the United States, he pursued a masterβs degree in language interpretation and translation. |
| 14. Babu also interprets for the Prime Minister and senior government officials. |
| 15. He was present during the 18th BRICS Summit in New Delhi on 12 and 13 September 2026 and translated remarks for the Prime Minister. |
