Moulton's Salem district office received a suspicious envelope containing a white, powdery substance, addressed to him by name. The letter matched a series of similar mailings sent to congressional and election offices across the country, and law enforcement opened an investigation.
The House of Representatives passed Moulton's War Powers Resolution by a 220-204 vote, seeking to reassert Congress's constitutional authority over military action against Iran. The measure drew cosponsorship from 14 House Democrats, including 13 Democratic veterans.
Seth Moulton announced that he would challenge Senator Ed Markey in the 2026 Massachusetts Democratic primary. He framed the race as a generational choice and positioned himself as a more aggressive alternative within the party.
