Sandeep Warrier, who was contesting the Kerala Assembly elections as the UDF candidate from Thrikaripur, was allegedly blocked and attacked while campaigning at Cheruvathur bus stand. Reports said the clash involved CPI(M)-linked activists, and the UDF team accused them of trying to prevent campaigning in the area. The incident drew political condemnation and added to election-time tensions in the constituency.
