Punjab Police registered two FIRs under non-bailable sections against Rajya Sabha MP Sandeep Pathak after his reported exit from the Aam Aadmi Party and switch to the Bharatiya Janata Party. The reports said the cases were filed in separate districts of Punjab and involved allegations including harassment of women and corruption. The BJP described the move as political vendetta.
