Speaking at a forum in New Delhi and the Bloomberg New Economy Forum 2026, Infosys CEO Salil Parekh said AI-related work could make up almost half of the company's work within two to three years. He also said Infosys plans to hire about 20,000 college graduates this financial year, matching the previous year's intake. He cautioned that high data centre and chip costs, along with cheaper AI models, pose risks to AI infrastructure investments.
Infosys announced that Ashiss Kumar Dash will succeed Salil Parekh as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director from 1 April 2027, after Parekh completes his second term. Parekh said he would continue to lead the company until 31 March 2027 and help ensure a smooth transition.
Infosys reported that Salil Parekh's total remuneration for fiscal year 2025-26 rose by about 2.5% to Rs 82.6 crore. The company's annual report said the increase reflected his pay package during the year while he remained in charge of the firm.
