Sachin Sanghvi, the music composer behind 'Stree 2' and 'Bhediya' as part of the duo Sachin-Jigar, was arrested in Mumbai on 23 October 2025 following a sexual assault complaint filed by a woman in her twenties. The complainant alleged that Sanghvi contacted her via Instagram in February 2024, promised her a role in a music album and marriage, invited her to his studio, and then sexually assaulted her multiple times while also coercing her into an abortion. Sanghvi was released on bail the same evening, and his lawyer, Advocate Aditya Mithe, denied all allegations as baseless and fabricated, stating the arrest was illegal and that the client is fully cooperating with the investigation.
