Truecaller reported its Q3 2026 results with average monthly active users of 476 million, up 8% year on year, and premium subscriptions growing about 32%. Jhunjhunwala presented the results with CFO Odd Bolin, while the company also flagged slower user additions and a higher-cost acquisition of TextPlus. Investor reaction was negative, with reports noting that earnings missed expectations and shares fell sharply.

Jhunjhunwala publicly challenged India's telecom regulator TRAI on X over rules that stop Truecaller from showing community-reported spam labels for calls from the 1400 and 1600 number series. He argued the restriction has enabled abuse of those numbers and eroded trust in legitimate business calls. He said Truecaller would share its data with the IT ministry as part of the regulatory process.

Rishit Jhunjhunwala officially assumed the role of Group CEO of Truecaller, effective January 9, 2025. He replaced founders Alan Mamedi and Nami Zarringhalam, who stepped down from operational roles to focus on board duties and strategic advisory responsibilities. Jhunjhunwala had previously served in senior product leadership roles at Truecaller, including Chief Product Officer and Managing Director of Truecaller India.
