Pavan Ahluwalia is the founder and managing director of Laburnum Capital, an investment manager in India.
He grew up in Delhi, India, in a privileged family.
Pavan's mother, Isher Ahluwalia, battled brain cancer for 10 months before passing away on 26/09/2020.
After graduating, Pavan interned at the offices of Chief Ministers in Madhya Pradesh and Delhi.
In August 1999, he joined the research department of the IMF in Washington, D.C., authoring papers on currency market contagion.
Pavan then worked at McKinsey & Company in New York as a business analyst from 2000 to 2002.
