| 1. Nandini Sidda Reddy grew up in a middle-class family. |
| 2. His father, a communist, fought against Razakars, a paramilitary wing of the Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen. |

| 4. He completed an MPhil on ‘The Sun in Modern Telugu Poetry’ in 1981 and a PhD on ‘Modern Poetry – Reality - Surrealism’ in 1986 from Osmania University. |

| 6. Organized many literary events and published about seven collections of poetry. |
| 7. Became the founding president of the Telangana Writers’ Forum in 2001. |
| 8. Wrote ‘Nageti salalo na Telangana’ to express his vision of a special Telangana movement. |
| 9. His poem ‘Nageti salalo na Telangana’ was featured as a song in the Telugu film ‘Poru Telangana’ (2011) and later won a Nandi Award. |
| 10. He appeared in the Telugu film ‘Jai Bolo Telangana’ in 2011 and has worked as a lyricist for films like ‘Bandook’ (2013) and ‘2 Countries’ (2017). |
| 11. Joined a committee in 2014 regarding Telugu language textbooks. |
| 12. Joined a Telangana government panel in 2015 to redesign recruitment exam syllabus. |
| 13. Was awarded the Vishista Puraskaram by PSTU in 2016. |
| 14. Became the first Chairman of the Telangana Sahitya Akademi on 2 May 2017. |
| 15. He also established Manjeera Writers’ Association. |
| 16. He edited the Manjeera bulletin and Soi magazine. |
| 17. Retired as a Telugu lecturer from Siddipet Government Degree College in 2012. |
| 18. In August 2017, he led a panel responsible for selecting people eligible for the Kaloji Narayana Rao Award. |
| 19. Served as in-charge for the World Telugu Conference from 15 December 2017 to 19 December 2017. |
