1. Amir played his first international match for Pakistan in 2009 when he was only 17 years old.
2. His talent was first recognized by Wasim Akram.
3. In 2010, he, along with Mohammed Asif and Salman Butt, was implicated in a spot-fixing scandal involving Mazar Majeed, a British sporting agent, resulting in guilt verdicts.
