Latest News about Max Bemis
Wavves singer Nathan Williams publicly criticised Bemis and suggested the upcoming Say Anything and Wavves collaborative album Cherry Soda could be re-recorded without him. This followed the allegations against Bemis and raised questions about the album's scheduled release. Bemis has not publicly addressed the specific allegations.
Say Anything announced that Max Bemis' upcoming performances were postponed after allegations surfaced online involving messages allegedly sent to a teenage fan. The band said Bemis was taking time away to prioritise his mental health and personal well-being. Refunds were later offered for several affected tour dates.
Bemis was announced for a run of intimate solo storyteller shows in summer 2026, with dates scheduled in Tennessee and Georgia. The shows were billed as a more personal live format separate from his work with Say Anything.
Bemis relaunched his Song Shop service, which lets fans commission personalised songs, video messages and private performances. The relaunch coincided with a revamped Say Anything online store and the band signing with Civilized Artist Management.
