Latest News about Luke Shaw
A Daily Mail report carried by Paper Talk said Luke Shaw could leave Manchester United when his contract ends next summer. No contract talks between the club and the 31-year-old were reported at the time. The club has not confirmed any new deal.
Shaw started the final Premier League game of the 2025/26 season in a 2-1 win over Brighton & Hove Albion. By making his 38th league start of the campaign, he was on the team sheet for every top-flight match United played that season. The feat was seen as a notable show of fitness after years of injury problems.
Shaw spoke publicly about the frustration of his recent injury troubles and said he felt he had been letting Manchester United down. The comments followed a season in which he missed a large number of matches because of repeated fitness problems.
Luke Shaw returned to full training with Manchester United after a spell out through injury. The report described it as his first time back in full training since December, underlining the extent of the latest layoff.
