Krishnappa Gowtham announced his retirement from all forms of cricket on 22 December 2025 at the age of 37, ending a 14-year professional career. He made the announcement during a press conference at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, organized by the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) administration headed by former India pacer Venkatesh Prasad. The former Karnataka all-rounder, who played one ODI for India and represented five IPL franchises, concluded his career with 395 wickets and 2,785 runs across all formats.
