The Rajasthan unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party expelled Krishna Kumar Janu from the party for six years after he publicly criticized its treatment of former Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik and former Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar. The party said his response to a June 2025 show-cause notice was unsatisfactory and also cited his objections to the appointment of Harshini Kulhari as Jhunjhunu district president. The expulsion followed disciplinary action that began in June 2025 and became public in August 2025.
