Some Lesser Known Facts

Rajanna initiated his career in the cooperative sector in 1972 while simultaneously launching his political journey as the Secretary of the Kyathasandra Taluk Congress unit.
In 1976, he took on the role of President of the Kyathasandra Town Panchayat, a position he held for several years.
Between 1980 and 1984, he led the Youth Congress in the Tumkur District, showcasing his early leadership skills.
In the 1980s, Rajanna was appointed to the Taluk Land Tribunal Board of Tumakuru and served as General Secretary of the Tumkur Zilla Congress Committee during this period.
He played a significant role as the President of the Taluk Agricultural Produce Co-operative Marketing Society (TAPCMS) in Tumakuru for ten years.
Rajanna was elected to the Agriculture Produce Marketing Committee (APMC) in Tumakuru multiple times, directly influencing agricultural policies.
In 2004, after being denied an INC ticket, he switched to Janata Dal (Secular) and successfully contested the elections from the Bellavi constituency.
