DebutKalyan Chatterjee made his film debut in 1968 with the Bengali film Apanjan, followed by his Hindi debut in 1970's Sagina Mahato and an English role in The Waiting City (2009). His final film was Sona Dadu in 2024.
Notable WorksOver his prolific career, he appeared in more than 400 films, portraying typical Bengali characters and earning accolades for his natural acting. Some of his notable films include Dhanyee Meye (1971), Sabuj Dwiper Raja (1973), Dui Prithibi (2010), and Baishe Srabon (2011). He also featured in the successful Hindi thriller Kahaani (2012).
