He had been waiting for the opportunity after building a strong record in county and franchise cricket. 10/10/2025 Jordan Cox was named the 2025 PCA Men's Player of the Year after a standout domestic season for Essex and across franchise cricket. He also earned selection in the PCA Team of the Year, and Essex highlighted his 139* off 60 balls against Hampshire as their Performance of the Year.
22/06/2025 Jordan Cox received his Essex county cap during a home County Championship match against Hampshire, becoming the club's 169th capped player. Essex said the wicketkeeper-batter had quickly become an important part of their batting line-up after joining the club for the 2024 season.
