Records/Achievements	He won 3 medals in ISSF World Cup (2014) and was ranked no. 1 shooter in the world in 10-metre air pistol. He won a gold medal in 2014 Commonwealth Games scoring 194.1 points, a world record. He won a gold medal in 2014 Asian Games in 50m pistol category. On 24 October 2017, Jitu Rai and Heena Sidhu won the 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team event gold at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range. On 9 April 2018, he won a gold in men's 10m air pistol event and made a new Commonwealth Games record.
