Senior Congress leader and five-time MLA Hullappa Yamanappa Meti passed away at a private hospital in Bengaluru at the age of 79. He had been suffering from kidney-related ailments and other age-related complications. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah visited the hospital to pay his last respects, and Meti's remains were taken to Bagalkot for last rites.
