DP Manu was handed a four-year ban by the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) after testing positive for methyltestosterone, a prohibited anabolic steroid, during the Indian Grand Prix 1 in Bengaluru in April 2024. The ban, which took effect retrospectively from June 24, 2024, will keep him out of competition until mid-2028, ruling him out of the 2024 Paris Olympics where he was in contention via world rankings.
