Dipak Kumar Halder is an Indian politician from West Bengal who has represented the Diamond Harbour Assembly constituency in the West Bengal Legislative Assembly. He first entered the Assembly in 2011 as a candidate of the All India Trinamool Congress and was re‑elected in 2016 from the same party. In 2021 he shifted to the Bharatiya Janata Party and has since contested the Diamond Harbour seat on the BJP ticket, finishing as runner‑up in both the 2021 and 2026 West Bengal Assembly elections.
Before entering politics, Halder worked as an insurance agent for the Life Insurance Corporation of India and later also became an agent for mutual funds. He is a graduate in Commerce from a college affiliated with Calcutta University and has built his political base in the Diamond Harbour area of South 24 Parganas district.
