1. Devika hails from the Panchkula district of Haryana and started playing badminton at a young age.
2. At the age of 9, her father enrolled her and her younger brother in badminton training at the Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Panchkula.
3. Initially hesitant about badminton due to the pressure of studies, she began to enjoy the sport after seeing success at district and state levels.
4. Her height has contributed to her powerful smashes and attacking style, reminiscent of P.V. Sindhu.
5. Devika won her first junior national title in 2018 and made a name for herself in senior competitions.
6. In 2024, she not only won her first senior national title but also excelled at the Haryana State Badminton Championship.
7. After moving to Bengaluru for advanced training, she benefited from coaching by former Olympic medallist P.V. Sindhu's coach.
