Political Journey	In 2014, he became the BJP state in-charge of Tripura. On 7 January 2016, he became the president of the BJP state unit of Tripura. On 9 March 2018, he became the Chief Minister of Tripura. He won the 2024 Lok Sabha elections from the Tripura West constituency.
