Latest News about Austin Reaves
Reaves agreed to a four-year, $185 million contract to remain with the Los Angeles Lakers. The deal was reported as the richest contract ever for an undrafted player in NBA history and included a player option for the final season.
Reaves returned to the Lakers lineup for Game 5 of the team’s first-round playoff series against the Houston Rockets after missing nine games with an oblique strain. He had been sidelined since early April, and the team listed him as a game-time decision before his return.
Reaves was ruled out for the rest of the 2025-26 NBA regular season after suffering a Grade 2 left oblique muscle injury in the Lakers’ loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on April 2. Reports said the injury was expected to keep him out for four to six weeks.
