1. From his early childhood, Anand Pandurangi chose medicine as his profession as it seemed like a logical choice to help society and the nation.
2. He graduated from medical college, Hubli, Karnataka and did postgraduate honours at Karnataka University, Dharwad.
3. He acquired his clinical skills from Karnataka Institute of Mental Health, Dharwad and refined them under psychiatrist Dr B M Debsikdar at Miraj.
4. Established a small practice in his own house, treating patients day and night.
5. Involved in educating people about mental health issues and the associated stigma.
6. Conducted counselling programs in schools and colleges, mental health camps, and awareness seminars for teachers.
7. Expanded his practice to include student guidance, parental counselling, premarital and marital counselling, and de-addiction services.
